Myofascial Release Therapy (MFR)
Fascia is a tough connective tissue which spreads throughout the body in a three-dimensional web from head to foot without interruption. The fascia is specifically what I work on with a gentle touch therapy that is very effective for reducing and eliminating pain, regaining motion where it has been lost due to illness or injury, and repairing your fascia 'connective' tissue to its full potential. MFR involves applying gentle and sustained pressure to myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion. It works because it opens up those areas that are not moving properly and allows the fascia to begin its healing process. Treating your pain from the inside out has proven to be a very effective and beneficial technique. The John F. Barnes method is the method I use and continue to study.
60 Minute Myofascial Release Therapy (MFR) Session | $85
The 60 minute MFR treatment focuses on pain that arises from the from the myofascial tissues-the tough membranes that wrap, connect and support your muscles. These tissues are found throughout your body. With a 60 minute session we will be able to effectively treat three areas with restricted or limited range of motion on your person within this time frame. Please note: MFR is different than the traditional massage. I am trained to go where your body tells me, which may be 'different' then where you specify. This is because of how our bodies work, when your left shoulder hurts, it may be caused from your right hip or knee. It is all about how your body compensates. Getting to the actual root of the issue is where Myofascial Release Therapy comes in.

Inter-Oral Myofascial (MFR) Work
Working specifically inter-orally can greatly decrease symptoms from a concussion, assist in the proper growing and development of a young one's jaw and mandible. As their teeth form and take root it is important that the mouth creates the appropriate amount of space. Having this gentle touch therapy can eliminate the need for excessive dental work.
Allowing the fascia, which is so delicate in our cranium, and facial structure to keep full range of motion is vital for so many things. When we lose the range of motion on many of these fascia connections it can lead to some of the following: grinding teeth, clenching jaw, tightness on one side of face, and headaches/migraines, to name a few.

Tinctures by Timberland Therapeutics
Timberland Therapeutics uses only the best herbs and the best menstruum available. For a menstruum Timberland Therapeutics chooses to use alcohol for a menstruum because it provides the most effective and potent extraction from all of the herbs. The amount of alcohol in the tincture is comparable to the amount found in some mouthwashes.
If you have concerns about the alcohol, it can easily be removed by adding the tincture to a hot tea. The alcohol will dissolve during the steeping process.
Alcohol as a menstruum increases the shelf life by years and decreases the amount that is needed for consumption for the tincture to be effective. Always consult your physician with concerns of allergies or conflicts with your current medication regimen.
Elderberry Tincture | $20
Sambucus nigra ssp. caerulea & canadensis
Antiviral, strengthens the immune system. Medicinal use once a day as a preventative during flu season.
Use 3 times a day if you feel a cold or flu coming on.
Black Walnut Tincture | $15
Juglans nigra
This tincture is used to spot treat warts, psoriasis, impetigo, or fungal infections/rashes. It is a natural source of iodine so some apply it to their skin for potential thyroid benefits. Tinctures may also be used internally for parasites especially when traveling to an area with bad water. It is antifungal and antibacterial due to the high levels of tannins extracted from the hulls. May be used for wound sterilization.
CAUTION: Do not use over a long period of time, more than two weeks. ALLERGY: a walnut tree allergy should be observed.
Yarrow Tincture | $15
A. millefolium
Quickly stops bleeding internally and externally by contracting the blood vessels and encouraging clotting. Yarrow contains anti inflammatory and antibacterial coumpounds that ease swelling and promote healing. Yarrow also reduces the duration of measles, colds, and fevers. It also treats menstruation problems ranging from a lack of menstruation to excessive bleeding and cramping. Helps reduce anxiety and promote relaxation without sedative effects. It may assist in lowering blood pressure. Assists with IBS. Tincture may also be used as a mosquito repellant.
ALLERGIES: sensitivity to plants in aster (Asteraceae) family. Toxic to dogs, cats, and horses.
Usnea Lichen Tincture | $25
Usnea Lichen
This is a powerful antibiotic, antifungal, antimicrobial, and antivirial herb. It works great for clotting a wound. It can be used as a spray in the back of the throat to prevent illness from taking hold. Antibiotic use includes strep, staph, MRSA, and TB. Antiviral uses include Epstein-Barr, Herpes, HPV. Usnea helps with respiratory problems such as bronchitis, pneumonia, sinus infections, strep throat, colds, and flu. It can be effective in treating UTI, bladder and kidney infections. Also treats yeast infections, athlete's foot, jock itch, ringworm, dandruff and other common fungal infections.
Dosage varies depending upon your use or issue. This is not for long term usage.

Lemon Balm Tincture | $15

Acts to reduce anxiety and help people sleep better. It calms the body and improves mood and intellectual performance in children and adults without negative side effects.

Who enjoys a warm tea? Timberland Therapeutics harvest all of our own herbs and teas from the local area. Only the finest teas, Sencha Green Tea and Black Tea are purchased to accentuate the flavors and blends that have been created.

Power Greens from my garden to you
Our greens are fresh dried right from the garden and made into a special blend to be added to anything you desire. It can be added to shakes, pancakes, potatoes, or sprinkle some on any dish to add some nutrition or vegetable, the possibilites are endless. Ingredients vary per batch and are listed on the label but may include the following: broccoli, kale, zucchini, carrot, carrot greens, turmeric, garlic, chives, lambs quarter, brussel sprouts, ginger, plantain, or swiss chard.
Timberland Therapeutics has a wonderful garden along with the herb garden.

Healing Salves by Timberland Therapeutics
Timberland Therapeutics harvest all our herbs locally. Infusing them into oil prior to making the salve prevents mold and helps create a longer shelf life. Frequently used for the carrier oils are: jojoba oil, extra virgin olive oil, and sweet almond oil. Beeswax is the last ingredient added that keeps the salve firm in warmer temperatures. Storing your salve in a cool, dark and dry environment will assist in prolonging the shelf life.
